Today begins the next journey.
Early this morning my flight departed from DC to Hawaii, the first stop in an open-ended international trip. I’ll be meeting my partner (Brie) in O’ahu for 8 days of exotic domestic travel, an easy transition into the countless adventures we have to come. From there we head to Australia for three months – the maximum time allowed on a visitor visa. Everything after that is more than two steps away, so not locked in (though it is very likely that Southeast Asia will be involved).
I’m looking forward to sharing these experiences with you – the amazing sights, the great people, the history, the highs, the lows, the stories, the logistics – the adventure in total.
This won’t be a secretive journey. I will be updating this blog as I was on my previous trip. You can subscribe to receive emails with updates if that’s more convenient. And I will be posting shorter updates to Twitter (@itinerantics) and Facebook more frequently. I plan to update my photosite as well so everyone can see the great things I’m seeing. In the first few weeks of the trip I will be refining my connectivity and exactly what I’ll be posting where and when.
If you have any questions or suggestions please reach out to me and let me know.
For now, I’ve landed in Hawaii, my luggage has made it, and Brie will be arriving shortly. On to adventure!
